Dr Clara Juanes-Vallejo

Engineer, researcher and frontier systems leader working across physical AI, space systems and complex engineering organisations.

My work has moved from autonomous robotics and distributed systems, through astrobiology instrumentation and space engineering, to large-scale engineering transformation and back into hands-on research and prototyping.

The common thread is systems: understanding how technology, people, constraints and uncertainty interact, then turning that understanding into something that works in the real world.

Selected work

Some of the systems behind the journey.

A selection of engineering, research and organisational work that shaped how I approach complex systems today.

01 Global transformation

Engineering change across 8,000+ engineers

Building a distributed transformation network across more than fifteen countries, connecting senior coaches, change agents and engineering organisations while keeping the work grounded in delivery rather than transformation theatre.

  • 8,000+ engineers
  • 15+ countries
  • Distributed leadership
Innovation Roundtable talk brief
02 Engineering systems

Turning around an engineering organisation

A site-level transformation focused on engineering delivery, quality, release cadence and the conditions teams needed to do good technical work.

  • Systems engineering
  • Operating model
  • Engineering leadership
03 Space · Astrobiology

CASS•E stratospheric flight

Astrobiology instrumentation developed and flown on the BEXUS stratospheric-balloon mission, bringing together science, engineering, contamination control and flight operations.

  • Space systems
  • Astrobiology
  • Flight operations
